Hey gang, Just wanted to give you a heads up that I have a PSCM that I am releasing into the wild. I used my S10 Electric powertrain in a custom project that doesn't use the power steering, so I have this PSCM collecting dust and I figured somebody else could put it to use. I...

If you are using the original lead or nickel batteries, and can keep your box intact, and you have the means to lower the box, certainly keep it that way. My 97 is a lead truck and of course, GM will not sell me the Panasonics that would have dropped right in. I found a Deka 7...

I'm not terribly active on this forum. but I do want to throw in two cents worth and disagree with Paul. Regardless if you drop the pack, or if you have it bolted under the frame, you still have to remove the top batteries to access the lower batteries. Tilting the bed doesn't...

Tilting the bed probably creates more problems than it solves. Once you bother to drop the pack once, you will see that it is the easier choice. If you tilt the bed it doesn't really solve much. Because the batteries are on two levels, you would only be able to access half of...

Just throwing out some thoughts on charging... I have a 97 lead-acid truck so I'm not familiar with the NiMH batteries. However, I did have to deal with some charging issues. Since the Panasonic's are not available, I installed 12V/75AH AGM batteries designed for UPS systems....

Hello Rayan Yes a NiMH pack can get way out of balance if it is not used on a regular basis. Also all these packs are not working with their full capacity, and are a combination of modules out of different EV1s. Its about a perfect storm for balance problems, and any sitting a...

Sounds exactly like my problems. It turned out one of my packs had a short that was causing the voltage diff and the E2. You should consider conditioning a new battery and replacing your bad pack, which seems to be #2. Pv On Oct 4, 2011 8:59 PM, "Stephen Weitz" <[email removed...

I have had similar problems and here are my "cures": 1) put on the AC to max and to the coldest blue setting. also put on the lights on the truck. The more amps diverted away from charging the batteries (while charging), the lower the voltage spread between max and min. batter...
