[S10-EV] A Curious Question

List member Mon Sep 12 09:38:24 2005 2003 Thread size 3
Are S-10 Evs still for lease? I'm curious because I now lease an EV-1 which is completed at end of August 2003. I still have the large paddle charger in my garage. I would like to continue driving electric with inductive charging. Fred Beer [email removed]

[S10-EV] Re: Large paddle charger for sale

I have a one year old Generation II large paddle charger for sale. Charger was seldom used and works great. It could easily be adapted to become a portable charger to take with you on the road. First $200.00 takes it. I live in Vacaville but could ship anywhere for actual ship...

Actually, the NiMH EV1 has 26 batteries, just like the PbA. The nominal voltage of the NiMH EV1 is 343 volts, whereas the PbA car is nominally 312 volts. The NiMh Ovonic battery does have 11 cells, 13.2 volts nominal, but it is the same size as the 12.0 v Panasonic PbA battery...

MessageYes, you're probably right. They're tired. I'll confirm the price from my local dealer and write again. I have confirmed that the Rav4 Nimh Panasonic is the same size as the Panasonic Pba. The Ovonic battery has one additional cell and is longer, hence the EV1 NiMH only...

In answer to Tom's questions about the shell. I purchased it new in January of this year for about $700.00. It is white fiberglass with windows (see attached pics) and a slightly raised tail end. It weighs approx 150 lbs. I received just about the same range with the shell as...

[S10-EV] Fairfax charger status

Jerry Hudgins Mon Sep 12 09:38:22 2005 2002 Thread size 1
A fellow EV driver asked me recently for details on a new inductive charger in Fairfax (CA). These I could not provide, as I'd heard nothing about said charger prior to that. However, I remembered the question this evening when passing through Fairfax, and I spent a few minute...

[S10-EV] Pack service follow-up

Jerry Hudgins Mon Sep 12 09:38:22 2005 2002 Thread size 3
Just got my truck back from Performance Chevrolet in Sacramento, where it had been towed about a month ago for pack service. I'd reported a repeatable sudden SOC drop-off from about a third full to empty, and guessed that it had a weak cell or two. The folks at Performance not...
