Gil, No it wasn't the heat switch. I came across a? (yours?) post concerning that in the archives. I did finally get both trucks cooling, perhaps it was a sticking valve or maybe it had something to do with swapping the battery pack air flow sensor from 1 truck to the other. 1...

Michael, Maybe the Reversing valve? With the Tech 2, you can command the reversing valve to change position. My 1997 sat for a long time, (had only 5800 miles on it when I bought it last year). I could not get the A/C to function and I believe the reversing valve was hung up....

What could cause the A/C not to function on 2 different 1997 Nimh trucks? I can get the heat pump to produce heat but get nothing when trying for cooling. I have monitored the process with a tech 2 and it does show that I am calling for A/C. I waited about 10 minutes but never...

It went under the hood where the stock GM inverter mounted, that is why the radiator expansion tank had to be relocated. The AC-150 is bigger than the GM inverter because it is air cooled and has an air plenum under the inverter to cool the phase modules. The AC-150 has been r...

Kevin and all, I think the GM manual starts by saying "pull the motor" which is the hard way. The easy way is to approach it from underneath the truck (a pit would be ideal, but I have done it with the truck sitting on the ground- raising the truck even 2 inches helps a lot)....
