Tom Dowling Thu, 8 Feb 2007 00:31:53 -0800 2007 Thread size 1
One-upmanship: they did use my entry, even though Felix didn't include it in his sample, which is a shortened version from the Bee Web site. Overall, the article is a remarkable response, very favorable. If you can get a copy of the 2/7/07 Sacramento Bee, do it! It's a collect...

[S10-EV] Convert 2x120V outlets to 1x240V outlet?

Niel Nielsen Tue, 30 Jan 2007 00:10:52 -0600 2007 Thread size 8
A normal 120 volt AC outlet is fused (by a circuit breaker) at 15 amps on the "hot" wire. 15 amps times 120 volts is 1800 watts, or 1.8 KW. Combining two 120 volt outlets that are on opposite phases would give you 15 amps at 240 volts. 15 times 240 is 3600 watts, or 3.6 KW. Wh...

[S10-EV] Wheels Question

Dear Mr Glover-- In response to your question, "Can I envision myself driving an all-electric vehicle in the future?" I most certainly can. In fact, I'm driving one today. I am one of the very lucky few who managed to purchase an all-electric vehicle made by a major automobile...
