Hello Joshua To call the GM a hybrid truck is really a stretching the definition of the term hybrid. The AGM lead acid battery is now mass-produced and cost much less than the NiMH battery. Since the truck is not making the demands that a true hybrid would place on the battery...

Very nice, Gil. Short but sweet. This is the letter I sent. "Most car makers put five new technologies into the cars they call hybrids. GM makes a car with only one of them, slaps a badge on it, and calls it progress. Dan Neil calls this for what it is, "cheap." ["Green lite,"...

Summary: A 7% increase in efficiency is seen when using the rear half tonneau cover. I have completed my experiment to see if installing a half tonneau on the rear of the S10E has any significant effect on the efficiency. As most of you know, the S10E originally had a half ton...

The simple answer is GM did not sell the EV1 because it did not want to. GM sold the S-10 with exact same running gear as the EV1. There was less S-10 trucks on the road than the EV1 so the excuse of meeting some Federal law sounds like a ridiculous excuse. GM made a very limi...
