D/C to D/C is the second order of the day. I have also found that the battery is not being supported by the DC/DC converter. I would assume that if the battery has a resting 12v level with the key-off, that with key-on that level should rise with the support of the DC/DC syste...

Still sorting systems here. A/C is the first order of the day. Here is the scenario. The car has been sitting unused for over 3 years now and with the DTC-279 cleared I was able to drive it last night for the first time and proceeded to test the A/C for the first time, too. I...

Just an update for all and thanks to those who helped with direction and advice. Very nice. My DTC-279 was a PSCM fault. It had an improperly grounded regulator screw on the main board inside the PSCM. A new insulator washer corrected the fault and I took it back on the road l...

There are going to be a lot of factors that affect how long an AGM will last. Deep discharges heavy Ah draws and keeping the pack in a full state of charge as much as possible. A driver has a lot of control and if you do not own the vehicle it is not a concern. The trucks were...

If you do not keep a lead acid battery near full charge sulfation builds up in the battery. The flooded battery needs a good charge or balance charge to help mix up the electrolyte. I am not aware of any lead acid battery that does well with deep discharges. It will always sho...

I would not recommend using a 1255 in an EV. It was developed for Hybrid use and that is a totally different animal. Lead acid has a hard enough time standing up to the demands of an EV when they are designed for EVs. Obviously this is not the equivalent of using ICE starting...
