I can provide a number more current than September. As of 10-27-08 there was 7 of the drive pods in stock. On 3-24-08 there was 15 in stock. It is possible that the remaining 7 were bought up. I know of one person who years ago used this drive pod in a different vehicle. GM st...

Personally, I think you should not plan to "long term" store the truck by disconnecting the HV. The NiMH batteries in these trucks will self-discharge in only a few weeks, so they need to be charged at least every two weeks, preferrably every week. You shouldn't fear the fire...
