You can purchase Prestone DexCool (in the silver gallon jug) at most any auto supply. The non silicated DexCool is identified by an orange dye color. Check the operation of your coolant pump. If it's original, it's probably bad. Look for a strong stream entering the reservoir...

Greg, Please do not install the spare tire carrier and spare tire in the S10E. The tire is not there because a rear end collision will send the tire into the expensive battery pack causing expensive, but avoidable damage. Also the spare adds extra weight to the truck lowering...
