[S10-EV] More Lutz Lies About The EV1

Stephen Weitz Sat, 23 May 2009 05:59:25 -0700 2009 Thread size 2
Gil, As far as I can tell, these folks are not true free market capitalists. If they were, they would really try differrent products and see what sells. They seem to be an industrial oligarchy. They tell us what we want. They spin and lie when it does not fit their preconceive...

First off the bad news is Jeff Thomas went to the Hospital and found out he was having a very full blown heart attack. Jeff thought it was heart burn all day and did not go until late at night. We are lucky he did go because Jeff would not have made it thought the night. The g...

Hi, John-- I am replying via the mailing list to ensure that our remarks get into the archive. Blower for the battery compartment - shove a pushpin through the wire powering the blower so that you can measure the voltage under load. If it's much lower than open-circuit, the pr...

Here are my notes, I bought a circular connector from Digikey and used only the contacts. It may be possible to buy just the contacts without the shell. Radsok, for EV-1 motor? Replacement pins for a ACC06E28-6R(025) connector. Size 4 sockets. Amphenol Contactos (is that a typ...

Does anyone know of a source for the connectors on the EV1 motor? The most important for our applications is the female connector that attaches to the 3 phase power wires on the Gen-1 motor. Thanks, Richard Hatfield > If the transaxle is installed and level, remove the threade...

I haven't measured it, but will tell you it is a non-starter. WAY better to hang them up. They can be hung in the house, in the garage or out side. Tumbling them with no heat will take forever. I've done it by accident enough times to say this with some confidence. -= Darell =...

Recharging the NiMh chemistry exhibits poor Coulombic efficiency. This generates a lot of heat in turn. Compare the specs of any vehicle (EVAmerica) that was produced in both versions and you will see the consistant trend. Greg. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email remove...

Perhaps the heat removal system required while charging the NiMH but not used while charging the PbA makes a difference. On May 9, 2009, at 1:52 A, [email removed] wrote: > The 1999 EPA Fuel Economy Guide lists the lead acid and the NiMh Chevy > S10EV. However, there is someth...

If the transaxle is installed and level, remove the threaded plug using a 3/8 socket drive. On the S-10, this plug is at the back, on the EV1 it is at the front. If the "hamster milk" is level to the hole, the amount is correct. Please call if you need the GM P/N for this spec...
