That should say "same as the EV1" - not the same as the RAV4 EV. There is similar hardware and software available for the RAV4 EV, but it's not the same as the EV1/S10E software and hardware. Interface adapters should still be available from Michael Schwabe - [email removed]....

The Gen 2 certainly does have GFCI protection, but I am not sure of the Gen 1. I think the breaker built into the Gen 1 is probably to comply with the National Electric Code article 625.23 "For electric vehicle supply equipment rated more than 60 amperes or more than 150 volts...
