I would not recommend using a 1255 in an EV. It was developed for Hybrid use and that is a totally different animal. Lead acid has a hard enough time standing up to the demands of an EV when they are designed for EVs. Obviously this is not the equivalent of using ICE starting...

Yes it should "lurch" every few seconds but it is subtly different with every truck. If your pedal pots were a problems you would get a accell pedal correlation dtc. look at the scan tool during driving @ data page 0 (I believe) and watch the - amps when coasting. About 4 sec...
