If you do not keep a lead acid battery near full charge sulfation builds up in the battery. The flooded battery needs a good charge or balance charge to help mix up the electrolyte. I am not aware of any lead acid battery that does well with deep discharges. It will always sho...

I would not recommend using a 1255 in an EV. It was developed for Hybrid use and that is a totally different animal. Lead acid has a hard enough time standing up to the demands of an EV when they are designed for EVs. Obviously this is not the equivalent of using ICE starting...
