Hello Richard Its been a very long time since I watched the finish charge voltages on a lead truck. I seem to recall they were around 14.6. The lead algorithm is going to peak out right at 60 Ah as that is what the Panasonic 1260 was rated for. I don't believe your going to ge...

Hi Richard, To do this you query the vehicle for its VIN # via the Tech 2. You then link the Tech 2 to the GM SPS system and query for BPCM calibrations [there are four possibilities for a '97 VIN; the 1) Delco cal., 2) Panasonic PbA cal,, 3) Ovonic NiMH initial install cal.,...

I still have a couple of pallets of the Ovonic NiMH modules. These have never been in S-10 so they should have around the same capacity as the ones installed by EVBones. The weather has been a little cool for waking up the batteries. In a month or two I will have cycled up a p...

There's likely to be a fit issue to begin with. NiMH batteries have a very different charge profile than PbA, so the existing BMS will NOT work unless it can be reprogrammed. Changing battery chemistries can be done, but it's a lot of very careful and relatively technical work...
