[S10-EV] My 1998 S10E Lives! (And I still want to sell it)

Upgeya Pew Fri, 30 Apr 2010 12:45:51 -0700 2010 Thread size 1
Hi, everybody. My 1998 S10E is now charging and running, after replacment of the auxillary battery. The old battery was two years old, and its voltage, while still sufficent to power the instruments and radio, had apparently declined too far for charging. I am deeply grateful...

[S10-EV] Shunt placement

Richard Falk Thu, 29 Apr 2010 07:51:27 -0700 (PDT) 2010 Thread size 1
Sometime ago I emailed the group. My question was does it matter were ?the original shunt in the battery box is wired into. Many responded that the computor simplies reads the voltage drop across the the shunt in theory it should not matter were it is wired into.? So I wired i...

[S10-EV] madden voyage

You will probably have to go through a full charge cycle to settle the gauge. My 97 will loose it's "memory" if I simply unplug the high voltage disconnect and accessory battery. After a full charge it goes back to normal. Kevin McMullin ________________________________ From:...

[S10-EV] AC issues

Michael MacDonell Mon, 12 Apr 2010 17:17:16 -0700 (PDT) 2010 Thread size 1
Gil, No it wasn't the heat switch. I came across a? (yours?) post concerning that in the archives. I did finally get both trucks cooling, perhaps it was a sticking valve or maybe it had something to do with swapping the battery pack air flow sensor from 1 truck to the other. 1...

[S10-EV] Bosch water pump

Michael MacDonell Mon, 12 Apr 2010 17:03:09 -0700 (PDT) 2010 Thread size 2
Hi Don, I am in need of a water pump for one of my trucks. I have the original Gm pump and don't trust it. If you could give me a price shipped to 30540 I would appreciate it. I've been busy installing the battery temp sensors I got from you a while back, they seem to be worki...

[S10-EV] Pack temp sensor placement

Anyone have any comments on the tiny gauge of these wires? Are they sturdy enough, or should they the shrinkwrapped? Pv On 4/11/10, Niel Nielsen <[email removed]> wrote: > Jeff, > > Thanks for the info.? Useful stuff for everyone.? It's always great to hear > from the master....

[S10-EV] A/C issues

Michael MacDonell Sat, 10 Apr 2010 20:25:54 -0700 (PDT) 2010 Thread size 5
What could cause the A/C not to function on 2 different 1997 Nimh trucks? I can get the heat pump to produce heat but get nothing when trying for cooling. I have monitored the process with a tech 2 and it does show that I am calling for A/C. I waited about 10 minutes but never...

[S10-EV] Pack temp sensor placement

Jeff Thomas Sat, 10 Apr 2010 07:00:03 -0700 2010 Thread size 1
Hi all, the pack temperature sensors are required to contact the side of the batteries to indicate their actual temperature. The six battery-mounted sensors provide a composite of the actual module temperatures to the BPCM. The airflow temperature is measured by another sensor...

[S10-EV] Shunt and Fuse wiring?

Kevin Kayden Thu, 8 Apr 2010 11:27:43 -0400 2010 Thread size 4
It may be a bit off subject, but I was wondering what North Star battery was used where 26 of them would fit into the original battery box. Kevin Kayden -------------------------------------------------- From: <[email removed]> Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2010 10:00 AM To: <[ema...
