There used to be a webpage from Matsushita about the EV-1260 battery, but apparently that has been removed. Wouldn't want people to know about this battery of course. Apparently it isn't made anymore even in Japan, but I'm not sure. The specifications I have are: Length: 15.28...

Is there a spec sheet on the Panasonic EV-1260 that we could compare to? Weight... I believe the Panasonics were 30.8 lbs each? Which make the original pack weight just over 800 lbs. My Dekas are 1430 lbs. My truck felt very heavy so I installed a 1000 lb "add-a-Leaf" spring k...

I am hoping, after doing years of research on this, that I could add something to the battery discussion. I did find the EV-1260 battery still being produced, but it was in Japan and it was not economically feasible to get them here to the U.S. So that left us all with the pro...

Hi, everybody. My 1998 S10E is now charging and running, after replacment of the auxillary battery. The old battery was two years old, and its voltage, while still sufficent to power the instruments and radio, had apparently declined too far for charging. I am deeply grateful...

If your S-10 is a NiMH version, the Convenience Charger (CC) won't work. This was the case with NiMH EV-1, and the S-10EV uses the same propulsion system. The active battery cooling using the HVAC pulls more current than the CC can provide while charging in warm environments....
