Thanks to some people inquiring, I realized I meant say "both Class 2 and Class 3".Class3 is a wish, but a person is allowed to wish aren't they? I am not at all an expert at this, but from what little I know Class2/ClassB is basically what your standard OBDII scanner reads. S...

[S10-EV] E2 and E8 error codes

Paul Peavyhouse Thu, 9 Oct 2008 06:40:10 -0700 2008 Thread size 2
Do you have a Tech2 scanner, or one you could borrow? My first guess would be that it is most likely to be cooling/blower/temperature/thermometer related, but that covers a large swath. Pv On 10/8/08, Rusty Schwartz <[email removed]> wrote: > Hi all, > > > > Halfway through ch...

[S10-EV] Air Conditioner stopped working

Gil Dawson Sun, 31 Aug 2008 13:11:42 -0700 2008 Thread size 5
I'm sitting in my truck, ignition on, paddle out, windows open. The dash vents are blowing slightly, but the air coming out of the vents is ambient, not cool. Here's a picture of the AC controls and two diagnostic screens: http://chargerfinder.com/S10E/ACNotWorking/Picture1.jp...

[S10-EV] Fan Buffer / Regen

Niel Nielsen Sat, 30 Aug 2008 19:03:04 -0500 2008 Thread size 3
Dennis, Yeah, with 4100 pounds of vehicle weight and the tires inflated to 50 psi, the thing seems to coast quite well. I agree. Someone posted something a couple of years ago about the increase in range of the vehicle with the half-tonneau cover installed. As I remember, it w...

[S10-EV] Fan Buffer

Dennis Scott Thu, 28 Aug 2008 18:19:26 -0500 2008 Thread size 3
For the info of all on the S10-EV list members, My no regeneration issue was caused by a malfunctioning fan buffer on the front fan. I purchased a fan motor P/N 22136897 AC Delco # 15-8562 for $91 and change from chevrolet and a much improved fan buffer from Jeff. Please note...

[S10-EV] No Regeneration

Niel Nielsen Wed, 30 Jul 2008 21:41:04 -0500 2008 Thread size 2
Dennis, I have a hunch that the regen gets disabled if the batteries are sensed at an elevated temperature. I saw the regen get disabled in my vehicle during most of an afternoon, and I know that the batteries were hot. To me, it would make sense that the vehicle would disable...

[S10-EV] No Regeneration

I just wanted to post my findings on the problem I had with no regen. for general info. I have had no codes and the truck had regen operable a few weeks ago. The regen quit functioning and I still had a clean slate on all modules as far as DTC's went. last week my truck called...

Still sorting systems here. A/C is the first order of the day. Here is the scenario. The car has been sitting unused for over 3 years now and with the DTC-279 cleared I was able to drive it last night for the first time and proceeded to test the A/C for the first time, too. I...

[S10-EV] DTC-279 cleared

Steve Hawkins Fri, 18 Jul 2008 09:56:32 -0600 2008 Thread size 1
Just an update for all and thanks to those who helped with direction and advice. Very nice. My DTC-279 was a PSCM fault. It had an improperly grounded regulator screw on the main board inside the PSCM. A new insulator washer corrected the fault and I took it back on the road l...

[S10-EV] Regen problems

I am still having regen problems, I have looked for pinched or frayed ABS sensor wires and no problems, I have no ABS light after startup. I have not had any luck getting into any diagnostic screens in the Tech 2 related to ABS. Are the ABS problems diagnosed on the Tech 2? Is...

Wow, it looks like you're having fun. A tip for you: You have a blown buffer. And you'll need a new FF motor too. The Inverter issue is a bit more complex though. Jeff On Jul 7, 2008, at 9:49 AM, Steve Hawkins wrote: > Greetings all, > > > > I found two interesting things work...

[S10-EV] DTC-279 investigation current results

Greetings all, I found two interesting things working on the s10e over the weekend and wanted to know if anyone has some ideas on these issues. The inverter issues is clearly the more important one as I think it is causing the DTC-279 that is stopping the vehicle from running....
