Hello Gil I think it is wrong to compare the S-10 to the RAV4. They are different vehicles for different uses. One is more of a passenger vehicle the other a truck. This is apples and oranges and you just cannot use the results to say one is better than the other. Also I would...

My truck is giving error codes 44 and 81 which has to do with Phase 1 of the triple phase power to the motor. In going through the data from that event (on the scan tool) I noticed the motor windings at 93F which I assume is OK. But the PIM (power inverter module) was 123F. I...

What's the voltage? Maybe it was the High Voltage relay? If so then you'd need to perform a State Of Charge reset by separating the HV Disconnect connector under the hood and then threading the ground off of your 12V acc battery. As you do this you will hear a ton of clicking;...

Gil & Everyone, Very interesting stuff. A few thoughts ... It is my understanding that the ACPM does charge the aux. battery to 14.1vdc only in the key-on or charging conditions, but at no other time. So, I believe, as you leave the hood light "on" with the key-off you are dis...

As a RAV-EV driver, I'd echo Stephen's advice. Its right up there with "cycle the power on everything" when you have a home network problem. It goes along with the old adage: "Do the (relatively) cheap things first", and has solved many an unexplained error. Hope it solves you...

First, make sure you have a good aux 12 volt battery. The most common reason for "service now" is a low voltage on a worn out aux battery. I replaced mine with an Optima Yellow Top battery. Some have done this on their RAV4 EVs and cleared up problems as well. Stephen in Oakla...
